Why Are We Building NeverDesk?

Why Are We Building NeverDesk?

A few years ago, when the new AI wave started, we believed customer support would be one of the areas that could benefit the most. We dreamt of building a product in this space, but dismissed the idea because we thought it would also become one of the most competitive areas.

Even after a couple of years, we still regularly come across frustrating support experiences, even at well-known companies. At some companies, support isn't available at all or is simply unresponsive, and when you do get through, you still end up facing issues like these:

  1. 01
    Bots still forget things.
  2. 02
    They misunderstand customers.
  3. 03
They get stuck or respond slowly.
  4. 04
    They make customers repeat themselves.
  5. 05
They give irrelevant or incorrect answers.
  6. 06
    They struggle with complex requests.
  7. 07
They fail to take reliable actions across tools and systems.
  8. 08
They often don't know when or how to hand off to humans.

And too often, customers still have to work too hard just to get their problems resolved.

A crowded market, but not a strong one

As we looked at the many AI support products already available in this crowded market, we kept feeling the same thing: the competition isn't as strong as we imagined in terms of product quality and innovation.

What we expected
One of the most competitive areas
The reason we first dismissed the idea of building in this space.
What we found
Crowded, but not strong
Many AI support products, but less product quality and innovation than we imagined.

We believe we can build something much better than most of what's out there.

That gave us the confidence and conviction to build NeverDesk.

Yes, the market is crowded. But we're not building just another AI customer support product.

Key Takeaway

We're building NeverDesk with our own approach and taste, around how we believe great customer support should look, feel, and work.
